The Updated Cornell Supplemental Essay Prompts for 2020-21

There are seven program-specific Cornell essay prompts. That means that the supplemental essay you write for Cornell will depend on which college or program you apply to.

Five of the Cornell supplemental essays have changed for 2020-21, while two have stayed the same. Let's take a look.

Note: All the Cornell supplemental essays have a 650-word limit.

Johnson College of Business (Dyson and Hotel): What kind of a business student are you? The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business offers two distinct business programs, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and the School of Hotel Administration. Please describe how your interests and ambitions can be met through one or both of the Schools within the College.
